The journey from Kuala Lumpur to Cherating
The drive from Kuala Lumpur to Cherating usually takes around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on your pickup location and traffic. Most of the journey follows the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway and East Coast Expressway, passing through Pahang before continuing towards Cherating on the coast.
The journey is mainly on highways, with a shorter stretch of local roads approaching Cherating. Along the East Coast Expressway, rest areas such as Gambang provide places to stop for the toilet, refreshments or a short break before continuing towards Cherating.
Travelling during weekends and public holidays
Traffic can be heavier on the East Coast route during school holidays, long weekends and major Malaysian public holidays, particularly when many travellers are leaving Kuala Lumpur. The journey may take considerably longer than usual during these periods.

Who will drive you to Cherating?

Booking conditions
Payment and booking conditions
Cash in Malaysian Ringgit is our standard payment method. You can pay the agreed fare directly to your driver before leaving Kuala Lumpur, so there is no need to arrange an online payment for a standard cash booking.
If you prefer to pay by card, we can arrange payment online in advance. Card payment must be received at least six hours before your transfer, and any applicable processing charge will be explained before you pay. Drivers do not carry a card payment machine.
Your booking is confirmed once we have checked the journey details, driver availability and suitability of the arrangements, and sent you written confirmation. Sending an enquiry or requesting a quotation does not automatically reserve your transfer.
